²⁷ Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,^(A)

²¹ For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God^(A) as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.^(B)

²⁷ The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken^(A)—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

¹⁷ My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden^(A) from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.^(B)

¹¹ and that whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace.

¹² But the subjects of the kingdom^(A) will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”^(B)

²² and the Israelites went through the sea^(A) on dry ground,^(B) with a wall^(C) of water on their right and on their left.

²³ The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen^(A) followed them into the sea.
